Why should I pay my invoices with my credit card?
Research has shown that invoices are paid on average after 39 days, while the standard payment term is usually between 14 and 30 days. This means that companies have to wait longer for their money and this can lead to cash flow problems.

One of the benefits of a business credit card is the deferred payment. By paying an invoice with a credit card, the payment term of that invoice can be extended by up to 51 days. This frees up working capital so that you can focus on the growth of your company.

  • You are talking about extending the payment period to 51 days. How does that work?

By paying an invoice with your ICS business credit card via Billhop, you can extend the payment term of that invoice to 51 days, so you can better manage your cash flow and focus on growing your business.

The deferred payment term depends on the following factors:

    • The day on which the transaction is made: Once every 30 days, you will receive an account statement from ICS, the outstanding amount of which must be paid to ICS within 21 days. If you pay an invoice via Billhop on the first day after the closing of the previous account statement, you have a deferred payment term of up to 51 days. If the transaction is made on the day before the statement of account closes, you have a deferred payment term of up to 21 days.
    • The way you pay the monthly statement of account:
      • If you pay by direct debit, the amount will be debited from the business bank account 5 days after closing the account statement. This means that you have a deferred payment term of up to 35 days.
      • If you pay by manual transfer, the amount must be paid to ICS within 21 days after closing the account statement.

If you are going to use Billhop frequently, it is possible that your existing spending limit is not sufficient; you can then submit a request to increase your spending limit.
