Changes in our billing method

As of August 1st, 2016, it will no longer be possible to collect outstanding amounts of corporate credit cards from a private bank account due to a change in European legislation. Companies with multiple cardholders that now use the option of private billing, will see a change in the our billing method. For companies with just one corporate credit card, such as freelancers and sole proprietorships, nothing will change.

The General Conditions will change too

In anticipation of the changes in billing method, the General Conditions will change as of August 1st, 2016. The option of private billing has been removed and the following changes have been made:

  • At present, you can use your credit card for contactless payment no more than five times a day. Under the new conditions, the number of contactless payments will be unlimited. This may, however, be subject to additional terms of use and restrictions. In some cases you may still have to enter your PIN code.
  • In addition to the conditions for eligibility for the delivery guarantee, payment of the purchase price by credit card must be made directly to the seller.
  • To improve our service, we regularly conduct customer surveys. The new conditions state that we may use your company data and the personal data of the cardholder(s) for this.

Nothing will change for freelancers and sole proprietorships

The new EU legislation does not entail any significant changes for sole proprietors who have one corporate credit card, even if the corporate credit card is linked to a private account. However, sole proprietors must take into account that a corporate credit card is intended solely for business expenses. The responsibility for observing this rule lies with the sole proprietor.
